Bookending this celebration is two events hoping to showcase everything that the UFC has to offer. On November 16th the UFC will provide one of the best cards in recent memory in Las Vegas that will be capped off by the welterweight championship between Georges St. Pierre and Johny Hendricks.

Debuts go Brazil’s Way (UFC on FX 8 Review)

Brazil has been the Mecca of MMA ever since Royce Gracie first stepped in to the octagon and immediately change the sport forever. Gracie would bring Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to the UFC and would shock the world when he beat fighter double his size. Before that the UFC was all about the power and the knockouts with some wrestling mixed in to the fights.

The UFC continues to introduce some of the best fighters from Strikeforce into the fold of some of the best divisions in the UFC. At UFC on FX 8 it will be one of the best middleweights in the world who will make his debut as Luke Rockhold tries to make his impact in the toughest division in the UFC. The Middleweight division is not tough because of the amount of talent, although there is plenty of that, but mainly because of the champion who sits at the top.

Brazil does not work for the Brit (UFC on FX 7 Review)

The UFC on FX 7 was a chance for one veteran of the octagon to take his shot at the ultimate goal and the ultimate challenge. The main event would be a matchup between Vitor Belfort and Michael Bisping with Bisping getting his chance at a title shot. Bisping has been in the UFC since he won The Ultimate Fighter in 2006.

Some of the best fighters in the world reside in the UFC’s middleweight division and yet the belt has rarely changed hands. That is because the greatest fight in the UFC and the best middleweight to step into an octagon is the current champion.

It has been an interesting road for the UFC in the last month as there have been many changes to the promotion. The UFC did something that they have never done before as they were forced to cancel an event. UFC 151 was supposed to be a great fight card with the Light Heavyweight Title on the line in the main event.
