2013 MLB Preview: AL East

The American League East has always been one of the best divisions in the MLB with multiple teams regularly making the playoffs. It seemed for the longest time that the wild card team would always be the runner-up in the AL East. The winner would also be a favorite to win the World Series every year. It became the toughest division in baseball with great teams all fighting for a spot in the playoffs and a few falling through the cracks.

MLB Week in Review (Sept. 15-21)

The MLB is beginning their last push to the postseason where teams become mathematically eliminated or begin to clinch their playoff spots. As this begins to happen many teams become irrelevant in the last few weeks of the season as they play teams that are already going to make the playoffs while they have no shot.

Room for Hope (Blue Jays Review)

The Toronto Blue Jays are a part of what has become known as the worst sport city in the world and are a major contributor to that. The Blue Jays have been out of the playoffs since 1993 which was the last World Series they won. Now of course this is nowhere near some of the streaks that stand in the MLB like the 103 seasons that the Chicago Cubs have gone without a World Series. The Jays are now at 17 seasons but it doesn’t help that in Toronto if you don’t win you will get overshadowed by the Toronto Maple Leafs.
