The Rise of Europe (WJC Pool B Preview)

The World Juniors have long been a tournament for the Canadians as they have always been the biggest team. There has always been one other team though that has been one of the best even if they do not focus on the tournament that much. The Russians have always been one of the best teams in the tournament as they have been constantly among the top teams every year.

World Junior Championship (Medal Round)

The World Juniors came to an end after another wild year that saw upsets and typical blowouts. This tournament has had it all as we have seen breakout players emerge who may be able to get the attention of the NHL scouts before the draft. There has also been some amazing goalie performances form a number of teams as little known goalies began making a name for themselves.

World Junior Championship (Relegation)

With the round robin and playoffs almost done it is now time to find out the positions of the teams with the Medal Round tomorrow. This means that the Bronze Medal and Gold Medal game will be determined tomorrow while the rest of the spots are appointed today. This includes the 5th place, 7th place and 9th place games.

World Junior Championship (Semi-Finals)

The Playoffs continued in the World Juniors as the Semi-Finals stepped up the competition with the four best teams in the tournament facing off. The Quarter Finals had some of the best games in the tournament but the Semi-Finals did not disappoint. At least one game did not disappoint as the second semi-final disappointed many in Calgary but did not disappoint the hockey world with a down to the wire finish.

World Junior Championships (Quarter-Finals)

The World Juniors finished their round robin play on New Year’s Eve as the playoff spots were handed out in some thrilling games. With all of the seeding finished it was time for the relegation and quarter finals. The quarter finals featured the #2 and #3 teams in the pools with the crossover matchups.

World Junior Championship (Day 6)

The World Junior Tournament has finished the round robin phase of the tournament with a wild finish. New Year’s Eve in the tournament has traditionally been one of the most important days of the tournament with a number of important games scheduled. The games that are scheduled for the last day of the tournament are usually made with the top teams in mind.

World Junior Preview (Pool B)

There is no question that the World Junior Tournament is one of the favorites and has become a Boxing Day tradition for all Canadians. Recently though the Canadians have had some disappointing years after a long time of ruling the tournament. This year the Canadians will try to get back to their winning ways in Pool B but will have a tough time against the better of the two pools.
