The AFC West is an intriguing division with so many questions surrounding so many of the teams in the division and the answers to those questions will be the difference between a great battle and war of attrition.

The AFC West is a division that is becoming more unpredictable as the seasons go on after years of one team or another ruling things are a lot harder to predict as rising teams and veterans teams compete for the title.

The NFL continues their love of offence but no matter how good offence gets it seems like the old saying “defence wins championships” continues to ring true.

The biggest party in the history of the NFL is set to get underway with an oddly familiar match-up between the veterans and the new age.

While in the AFC South Peyton Manning led the Indianapolis Colts to a dominant reign at the top of the division. Behind the arm of Manning the Colts were the only team that could win a division title in the South with Tennessee winning the odd title. When Manning moved to the AFC South the pattern seems to have been transferred to a new division. The addition of Manning to the division has changed everything about the AFC West in only the two years that he has been with the Broncos.

The AFC West is not full of the drama like the East but that doesn’t mean the teams are not still in trouble. The NFC West has come back from the basement while the AFC West continues to stay in the basement. This year the division is looking at a year where a lot of teams have torn everything down for another rebuild.

The NFL is entering the last part of their season as the playoff picture begins to form and the top teams are shown. Something funny has happened this season as it has been as unpredictable as most seasons but there is a predictable trend starting. The NFL has been a pretty even league the past years as different teams have been the strongest. The strength of both conferences has been located in the eastern divisions for years as they have become the toughest divisions to win.
