The NFC East remains one of the strangest in the league as they have massive history and great talent yet can’t seem to put everything together but they get another shot as the 2016 season begins.

Every year in the NFL there seems to be a new hot shot rookie that takes all of the headlines whether he deserves them or not. He is not necessarily the best or most talented player in the NFL or in the rookie class but he does command the most attention. Some turn out to be what was promised and others find unfortunate ends to the hype. Then there are the number of players who are surrounded by hype and never live up to it despite staying healthy and being given the opportunity.

Much like the AFC East the NFC east is one of the stranger divisions in the NFL but unlike in the AFC the East in the NFC is a much more formidable division. The NFC East is a division that produces a little bit more of a punch than their counterparts in the AFC and there is a different level of competition to win the division. In the AFC East the Patriots are the rulers but in the NFC it is almost a toss-up every year to find out who will win. The last few years have created a real divide in the division with the development of two very distinct types of teams.

This year the playoffs took an eerily similar turn as it begins to look a lot like the 2008 playoffs. In 2008 the New England Patriots were on their way to becoming the best team in NFL history behind the arm of Tom Brady and the brains of Bill Belichick.
