UFC Fight Night 48 Preview
Michael Bisping has been a trailblazer in the UFC as one of the first true superstars from Britain to have success in the promotion. It has not been the easiest road for the Brit in the past few years though as injuries and losses have piled up leaving Bisping in a bit of a no-man’s land. It is not the best place for a fighter to be as that place in the UFC is a place where moving up and down is hard. This position is where fighters go when they are too good to be a bottom tier fighter yet cannot put together enough wins to move into title conversation.
Impressive Showing in Macao (TUF China Finale Review)
The UFC would travel once again to Asia as it is clear that they are trying to grow the sport in a MMA crazy region. Asia was the home of Pride Fighting Championship and is still the home of many big fight promotions. The UFC is looking to become one of those promotions as they continue to try to grow their brand in the region. That is a big task for the UFC as they continue to try and make UFC the global brand for MMA and to do that they will need stars from all over the world.
TUF China Finale Preview
The UFC will once again move into new territory this weekend when they host the first ever TUF China Finale. It will be the first time that the show has moved to China with exclusively Chinese fighters involved. It is another way for the UFC to expand into Asia in this way as the reality show is another way for the UFC to grow the sport in one place that the promotion has yet to take hold. More than that though the UFC will be hosting their first full fight card on their new subscription service. The UFC would announce a change to their broadcasting structure at the beginning of 2014.
