The NFL would see plenty of interesting things in week 3 of the season as the headlines were full throughout the week. One of the most interesting stories of the week was one that had been played out over and over again. It is one of the most familiar stories in the NFL and it is becoming more common as the time moves on. The NFL is full of young millionaires who have never known the type of money they get when they sign their first deal.

The AFC North is on the same type of path as the NFC West except they are a step ahead as they are the toughest division in football. Most good divisions have two good teams while the other two struggle. This continues on year after year as teams fall and team rise there always seem to be two good and two bad teams. That is not true in the AFC North as they have gone from a typical division to the toughest. There are not only two teams that can win this division but instead there are three teams with another on their way up.

NFL Divisions all can generally be the same as some conferences are tougher and some are easier but all are relatively similar. The AFC North is not one of the divisions though as the North division has its own attitude all together. The AFC North is one of the toughest divisions in the league and the toughness is more than just the amount of competition in the division.

The Combine is over and the Pro Days have been held as the next generation of football stars is ready to start their new life. Of course there is one big event that they need to go to in order to start this new career and that is the NFL Draft. It is unofficially the first event of the new season when teams begin to figure out their team and look to draft new players to fill holes.

The BCS National Championship signified the end of another wild season in the NCAA with controversy again marking the season. This year it would be the LSU Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide facing off to prove who was best in the NCAA. For many it should not have been this game as the question of who was better had already been solved. On November 5th these teams faced off in what was considered the de-facto National Championship.

What a year in the NCAA as the season saw the usual upsets and controversy with only one team left in the NCAA having an undefeated season. This year saw another big controversy at the top of the BCS rankings, which has now become a yearly occurrence.

The NCAA is a league that has been built on the legends and stories of their long history with rivalry games at the centre of this history. Rivalry games are the heart of the NCAA and the connection to a school but one rivalry overruns all. When a school cheer mentions one opposing team you know that the rivalry is a big deal and that is the case for the Army and Naval Academies.

The NCAA Season is all but officially over as the conference championships have finished and the rankings are set. With only the Army-Navy game left on the schedule teams begin to get ready for their bowl games as all bowls have now been determined. Like almost everything this season in the NCAA it was not easy to decide the final rankings and determine the BCS Bowl Games.
