It’s November football and for the teams left in the hunt for the Grey Cup that means the weather begins to become a major part of the game. Winter is coming in Canada and so games in the outdoors will have another obstacle to overcome. For the Hamilton Tigers-Cats, Montreal Alouettes, Saskatchewan Roughriders, and B.C. Lions, the weather would make itself known in the division semi-finals this week.

It is getting to that point in the season were the true competitors are making themselves known in the CFL .Teams begin to really shape their playoff hopes at this moment in the season and begin looking to separate themselves from the rest of the league. Teams do this through one simple tactic and that is to win. To help them do this teams need true leaders who can come out on the field and change the game. It takes these players to win and to help teams to the Grey Cup and to help win the Grey Cup.

The Western Division of the CFL, like the rest of the league, has gone through a number of changes in the offseason. Most notably for the West, there will be a lot of new faces that are stepping up to lead the team.

The 99th Grey Cup was full of great storylines that made the matchup one of two teams that made comebacks to get to the big game. The B.C. Lions were not the best team last year as they made the playoffs but they were also very disappointing team. This year the disappointment continued with the Lions losing their first 5 games of the year as they looked to fall into the bottom of the league this year.

The CFL season is coming to an end and the 99th Grey Cup will take place this Sunday in the newly renovated B.C. Place. For one of the oldest trophies in North America the Grey Cup gets closer to its 100th year anniversary, held next year in Toronto. It all start on December 4, 1909 when the University of Toronto Varsity Blues won the first ever Grey Cup against the Toronto Parkdale Canoe Club.

2011 CFL Season Review

The CFL is through another season and this one was one of the best in the past years as it came down to the last week. It was a season full of surprises as some teams played much better than expected while others played much worse. Records were broken and individuals began making their name in the CFL.

Tuesday Morning QB (CFL Week 18)

The CFL is very close to the finish line with only one week to go in the regular season and the Grey Cup just around the corner. As is usual with the CFL there has been little decided with plenty of opportunity to change the look of the playoffs. So far all of the playoff teams have clinched with the Toronto Argonauts and the Saskatchewan Roughriders out of the playoffs. Both teams are out of the playoffs this year but that did not stop them from making the most noise this week.
