It has been a long time coming, this fight or any fight involving the Welterweight championship in the UFC. The division has seen a very long and strange road led by the leader in the division as GSP was the epicenter of everything. It all started in 2011 when the Welterweight Champion and one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world was slated to take on Nick Diaz in a title fight that had many people wondering if the champion’s reign would end.

The UFC went back to Fuel TV this week as they hosted UFC on Fuel TV 3 with a number of important fights on the card. None of these fights were meant to show the next contender or the next best fighter but instead meant a lot for each of the participants.
