Plenty of Thrills in Milwaukee

The UFC went to Milwaukee for their 5th Live on Versus event and it turned out to be better than many of the Pay Per View events. With 7 total finishes in the card there was enough great action to keep you interested and that including the main event. Before the fight Dan Hardy and Chris Lytle were both essentially preparing to fight for their lives. With rumours swirling around Dan Hardy it seemed as though Hardy would be cut from the UFC roster if he lost to Lytle. With Hardy losing his last three fights and not looking great in all three he was on the brink of never fighting in the UFC again. As his last chance he was given a shot against UFC veteran Chris Lytle in order to get back into the conversation in the welterweight. Meanwhile Chris Lytle seemed to be looking to get to the top of the welterweight division after a long career that has had its ups and downs. This was not the case however as just before the weigh-ins Lytle announced that he would be leaving the UFC after this fight to focus on his family life

UFC Live 5 Preview

UFC will go to Milwaukee for UFC Live 5 on Sunday August 14th for the end of their Sunday night events, at least while the NFL is back. The live events may not have the biggest names or any title fights in them, aside from UFC Live 6, but these events do have some of the more intriguing fights in the UFC. Many of the UFC Live Events are proving grounds for newer fighters to prove they belong in the UFC. It’s also an avenue for some veteran fighters to make their way up the ladder and possibly become the #1 contender in their division. UFC Live 5 will have a bunch of these stories attached to it and it all comes down to the main event between Dan Hardy and Chris Lytle.
