The CIS playoffs are now completely underway with every conference holding their semi-finals this week.

2015 AUS Playoff Preview

In the Atlantic football is a bit different than the bigger conferences as they represent the smallest schools in CIS Football.

2015 CIS Football Preview: AUS Conference

The East Coast conference is an interesting one as there are only four teams in the entire conference and almost every team has had their turn at the top.

The Canadian Football Hall of Fame is a place where people that have had an impact on the sport in Canada can be honoured. The hall of fame looks to be a place where people can go to look at those who created and built the sport at every level. It could be someone in the CIS or someone in the professional ranks, CFL or NFL. Sometimes it can look to a person who has had their impact on many levels and other times it can go down to simply someone who focused on one aspect of the league.

CIS Football Report (Week 5)

This week the CIS would see a number of important games for all of the conferences as the top teams looked to separate themselves from the pack. The top teams in each conference would use this week to show that they are the team to beat in their conference. Some teams would continue their dominance in the conference racking up another win.

CIS Football Report (Week 4)

The CIS season continues on and the teams are beginning to figure out where they stand among their conferences. The only problem for many of the teams this year is that there is not a lot that has been figured out yet. The CIS season has seen very few teams break away as the season looks to be one of the more even years in the league.

Can the Atlantic Provide Parity? (AUS Preview)

The AUS is the smallest conference in the CIS and therefore is more likely to be the conference that can provide a new champion. For the last three years the Acadia Axemen have been the rulers of the East coast but they have not been that dominant team like the other three. With only four teams in the conference the AUS is an interesting conference full of possibilities to win.

CIS Football Report (Week 6)

The season continues to draw to a close as there are now only three games left for most conferences except the OUA who have two. Teams continue to fight for a playoff spot and a chance at extending their season. As week six finished the playoff picture became a little clearer as teams began to take their spots in the next season.

CIS Football Report (Week 5)

It’s that time of year again in the CIS as the season begins to wind down and look to the playoffs with only four games left for most teams. As the season looks to the end every conference is beginning to see more clear who will be making the playoffs. It is past the halfway point of the season and so it is time to look back and look forward towards the playoffs and the Vanier Cup.

The Dominance of the Big Two Continues (2012 AUS Preview)

The AUS is a very unique league as the smallest part of the CIS with only four teams competing for the Jewett Trophy. With such a small conference the AUS is generally underestimated and brushed off when it comes to the national picture.
