The NCAA conferences are an essenital part of the league and one that has become a proving ground in order to simply make it into the playoffs with the Big Ten and SEC regularly needed a conference title to earn a playoff spot.

It has been said time and time again when talking about the NCAA as the Southeastern Conference has been considered the best conference in the league. Every year it seems that SEC teams are all at the top of the heap when the BCS rankings come out. The Alabama Crimson Tide have been the class of the conference and the NCAA over the last four years winning three National Championships in the last four years. Despite all of the success for the conference a disturbing trend is beginning to surface for the conference.

The BCS Rankings are out and so teams begin to learn where they truly stand as the season enters the second half. Teams are all looking for the top spots in the BCS to earn a berth in one of the BCS Bowls and possibly the National Championship. The fight for the National Championship is always an interesting one with plenty of debatable topics.
