UFC 161 would run into a familiar problem in the UFC as injuries would change the look of the card completely. The card would look completely change the card and would take away some of the biggest names on the card away. In the end it ended up hurting the card with fights that were good but not as good as it could have been.

Disappointing Night for Calgary (UFC 149 Review)

The UFC made their first trip to Calgary this weekend as they held UFC 149 in the Saddledome bringing another fight to the Canadian fans. For many though the card was a shadow of its former self with injuries changing almost every fight in the card. In some last second problem solving by the UFC fights were rescheduled and rematched to put together a pretty good card.

The UFC has continued to grow in the sports world but along with their growth has come a strange trend. Injuries have continued to pile up in the UFC and have begun to wreak havoc on fight cards. Injuries have always been a part of every sport including the UFC but it seems more and more that injuries have taken hold of the championship.
