MLB Week in Review (October 25-29)

The MLB season as a new champion and yet it is a familiar ending to the season with the San Francisco Giants taking home the crown. It is the third time that the Giants have earned the World Series Championship in the last five years. That accounts for one of the best five-season stretches in the MLB and it brings about the debate of where the Giants stand. A dynasty is a team that has had success over multiple years in a small stretch.

A Real Fall Classic (2014 World Series Review)

In 2004 the Boston Red Sox beat the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series in only four games and began a run of some of the least competitive World Series. From that moment on there has only ben one World Series that has gone to seven games. There have been four series sweeps, three series that went five games, and the other two series have gone six games. Overall not many series have seemed too competitive even if they went for six games. It has been a massive run of series without a lot to talk about aside from one dominant team.

MLB Week in Review (October 18-24)

The World Series is underway as the Kansas City Royals and San Francisco Giants have started their attempt at becoming the best team in the MLB. Three games into the World Series the Royals have a lead but it has not been that easy. Before the series began there were a lot of theories on what would happen in the championship with two teams that have found their way to the World Series. The Giants were an experienced team but only made it into the postseason through the wild card. From there they were dominant only losing one game through the entire first three rounds

2014 World Series Preview

The World Series is here after a long season has produced two teams ready to put their names at the top of the MLB. This year those two teams will be the Kansas City Royals and San Francisco Giants. Both teams have come out of nowhere to get here and have had a very similar path to the final series of the season. The Royals and Giants found their way to the postseason through the wild card as neither could win their division battles. From the wild card both teams have been dominant with only one loss between them, that one loss was by the Giants in the NLCS.

MLB Week in Review (October 11-17)

The MLB postseason is winding down as the World Series teams have been determined and the final series of the season gets underway next week. As the end gets closer the MLB may have just been through one of the best postseasons in recent history. It may not be that way when someone just looks at the series on paper with no series going over 5 games yet. Looking at it from the records a one it seems as though the teams are running through the postseason.

MLB Week in Review (October 4-10)

It seems like only recently that the second round of the MLB postseason was beginning and teams were starting their march towards the World Series. Now the second round is over as the Division Series are done and only four teams remain in the hunt. Heading into the division series there was still a lot unknown about every team in the postseason. There was a lot of talk about who could make it and what they would do but in reality nobody ever knows.

MLB Week in Review (September 27-October 3)

The MLB postseason is here and the sprint to the World Series has officially begun with the wild card games done and the Division Series underway. The MLB once again go into the postseason with the fairly new wild card games. In the third year of these games the debate still rages on about whether or not they are a good idea. For one side it is the fact that after 162 games everything can come down to one game. In a sport that only does series a single game elimination can seem strange.

2014 MLB Postseason Preview

After 6 months there are only ten teams left fighting for the World Series crown as they came through the season as the best teams in the league. It was a great race this year as it went down to the last day to determine some of the last teams and the positioning. The last day of the season had four teams trying to work their way into the best spot possible to take a post season spot. Now with the race finally finished it is time to play October baseball where legends are created.
