It was the biggest doping scandal in the history of the Olympics and it was followed by the biggest punishment in the history of the games as 2018 will be an Olympics without Russia changing the make-up of the games altogether.

It was medal day in the World Championships and as two teams looked to finish with at least a medal the other two were looking to go out as the best team in the world.

The playoffs are here and as they started there was some potential for interesting games although that all gave way to the typical top teams who will be back competing for the medals for another year.

The World Juniors are over for another year and for the second day in a row some of the top hockey programs in the world put on a great show in Montreal with close games determining the medals for the 2017 World Juniors.

To ensure a tournament that was quick and had no boring games the teams are limited and so far the strategy is working out as the games get more intense with playoff implications already on the line.
