Wednesday Morning QB (NFL Week 3)

The hectic times in the NFL are far from over but this week things seemed to steer a little bit closer to football. More charges were revealed and the commissioner held a press conference to talk about how the league plans to deal with the accusations heading forward. There is no doubt that the NFL remains in a tough spot right now as they continue to deal with the off-field issues of players making stupid decisions.

The NFL season began this past weekend but it was not the start they were hoping for in a new season. In a week that was supposed to put all of the offseason issues behind as people began to focus on football again turned into a nightmare for the league. Football was the focus for the majority of the week with games coming back and teams looking to put up a good showing as they opened their season. With Monday Night Football set to close out the week everything came apart and the issues of the offseason came back in full force.

The week in the NFL was an interesting one as teams that were not supposed to win did and teams that should have won didn’t. The defending champions would take a loss while the Cleveland Browns would get their first win. It was a weekend where nothing could be predicted as there were plenty of strange moments and big wins for teams. That including the Minnesota Vikings who would pick up their first win of the season against the Pittsburgh Steelers in unfamiliar ground.

There is one big personality that is also a part of the NFL dynamics along with the players and the coaches. This is the league commissioner who represents the league and everything that the league is about.

Some of these players are warriors who become fan favorites and others are simply solid players who do their job well. These players are the lifeblood of the NFL as without them there is nothing. Players go out every week and risk their bodies for the fans entertainment and sometimes it can backfire.

Last week was one of the turning points in the young 2012 season and for the NFL in general as the next move would make a big difference. After a Monday Night game in Week 3 the NFL and their fans saw one of the most controversial calls in the history of the NFL. The Green Bay Packers lost the game to the Seattle Seahawks on a Hail Mary Touchdown pass that seemed more like a game ending interception.
