The NFL season began this past weekend but it was not the start they were hoping for in a new season. In a week that was supposed to put all of the offseason issues behind as people began to focus on football again turned into a nightmare for the league. Football was the focus for the majority of the week with games coming back and teams looking to put up a good showing as they opened their season. With Monday Night Football set to close out the week everything came apart and the issues of the offseason came back in full force.

The NFL loves to build up their players and as is widely known it is one of the reasons that they are the most popular leagues in North America. As the NFL continues to build up players there are a handful that can be counted among the elite in the league. These players are not only the best players during their time playing but can be put into the debate of the best players to ever play in the NFL. These players are not so common with plenty of great players coming though the NFL ranks and only a few can enter the conversation of best ever.

Much like last week the NFL saw a chase for the record books but this time it was the chase of individual Records. Mainly it was one of the longest standing records in the NFL for QBs. In 1984 Dan Marino had one of the best careers by a QB as he threw for 5,084 yards in one season. This year this season was looked to be matched by not one but three QBs as Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, and Drew Brees were all on pace to break this single season record.
