The 101st Grey Cup may not have the history behind it that the 100th Grey Cup did but there are plenty of great stories before the game begins. The 100th Grey Cup was all about the long and storied history of the CFL but for the 101st Grey Cup the stories would come from the teams themselves. Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats will bring plenty to talk about when they face off in Regina this weekend.

The Eastern Division is celebrating a win as a whole after 2012 with the Toronto Argonauts winning the 100th Grey Cup. For the East it is a win but for three teams it was a lost opportunity as they would all lose to the Argonauts in the end. Now the East is looking to make it two in a row as they hope to go to Regina and win another Grey Cup.

The CFL finished their 13th week leaving six more games in the regular season and for once nothing is assumed. The playoff race is one of the closest it has been in a while as both conferences will be battling down to the wire. At the top of the Eastern Conference the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are going game for game with the Montreal Alouettes as they continue to battle for first place and the first round bye in the playoffs. Meanwhile at the bottom Hamilton is trying to stave off the Argos who are still in the hunt and will control their own destiny with games against the Ti-Cats still to come.
