The CFL season is heading towards the final stretch of the season as the playoffs are only a few weeks away. With teams continuing to fight it out for their playoff spot or their playoff positioning there is plenty going off the field. One of the biggest stories this week would be the end of the season long drama between the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Chris Williams. In 2012 Williams would put his stamp on the CFL becoming one of the most prolific special teams player in the history of the CFL.

There is a difference between a contact sport and a collision sport as a lot of sports are contact sports but only a handful are collision sports. Football falls into the collision category with every play in a game resulting in multiple collisions in the field. It is a sport that will do its damage on players and with an average career of 2.5 years in football it can have its impact.

There is a different feel to the CFL when you watch a game as the business is not as important as the game itself. A sense of community is the concentration in the CFL giving it a special feel when you’re a fan. It is not only that different feeling that makes the CFL great and unique because above all it is the rules.

The CFL is a passing league even though the running backs seem to be taking over the league this year. It will always be a passing league no matter how well the running backs do the quarterback will always be the most important player on the field. The QB is the one that everyone looks to lead the team through the rough patches in a league.
