The AFC North is on the same type of path as the NFC West except they are a step ahead as they are the toughest division in football. Most good divisions have two good teams while the other two struggle. This continues on year after year as teams fall and team rise there always seem to be two good and two bad teams. That is not true in the AFC North as they have gone from a typical division to the toughest. There are not only two teams that can win this division but instead there are three teams with another on their way up.

The 2013 NFL Playoffs started with some good games but nothing that made people think this was going to be a playoffs to remember. Then the divisional playoffs would start this year with and begin the best weekend of football in the season. The divisional playoffs would change the course of this years road to the Super Bowl as all four games would have massive storylines develop throughout the time on the field.

The Wild Card weekend has come and gone with four teams moving on the divisional playoffs and one step closer to the Super Bowl. The week was full of great games as superstars faced off and the best teams in the league faced off in winner take all battles. That was not the dominant story though as the biggest story of Wild Card Weekend was the retirement of one of the greatest linebackers in NFL history.

In the NFL there are many different type of players that make up a team and a league that is as popular as the NFL. Some of these players are warriors who become fan favorites and others are simply solid players who do their job well. These players are the lifeblood of the NFL as without them there is nothing. The Rust Belt is a term that many people have heard in the U.S. and it refers to the North Eastern part of the U.S. who rely on the manufacturing industry. This term also refers to the teams in the NFL that lie in this belt. The term has become a true expression of the teams in the area that include the Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, and Detroit Lions. The name rings true to the performances of these teams in the past years as all three have been at the bottom of the NFL for years including the Detroit Lions breaking the record for most losses in 2008 going 0-16. This year these Rust Belt teams are beginning to give their fans something to cheer about for once as they are looking to be strong contenders to make the playoffs.
