NHL Week in Review (January 4-10)
The NHL is a league that has been dominated by certain teams, although it is not always because of their performance on the ice. A few teams take headlines more than any other as they have some of the biggest and craziest fan bases in the league. The majority of these teams are in Canada where hockey is the main story on most days. The kings of this media attention are the two teams that had a major role in creating the league and the legends that make up the history of the NHL.
NHL Week in Review (May 4-10)
The NHL playoffs continue to produce stories of players getting past everything in their way to get to the end goal. The Stanley Cup is the ultimate prize in hockey as it means more to players than an Olympic Gold Medal or a World championship. That trophy is the goal of everyone that has ever strapped on a pair of skates and only a select few ever get to hold it over their heads and put their names on it forever. That can make players go to extreme lengths to get there and it has given the NHL a reputation as one of the toughest leagues in the world.
NHL Week in Review (Feb. 26-Mar. 3)
One of the most exciting times in the NHL calendar is now passed as the Trade Deadline has come and gone. On February 27th the NHL GMs had their last chance to make their team better or make room on their roster for next year. This year the action was not all it was built up to be as the majority of the deals were not involving big names.
NHL Week in Review (Nov. 27-Dec. 2)
So it starts as 2 months into the NHL the coaching carousel kicked into gear with multiple firings and hiring’s. This time was a little different though as the coaching carousel did not just begin with a firing one day and a new hiring. Instead the carousel featured two firings within two hours on the same day and a hiring so quick that it was almost unbelievable.
