2013-14 NHL Preview: Central Division (Part 1)

The new Central Division is not the same as it once was with the top two teams taken away from the group. The Central Division had been built off of the rivalry between Detroit and Chicago but that is no longer there. The Chicago Blackhawks remain in the Central Division while the Detroit Red Wings move to the Eastern Conference.

2013 NHL Preview: The Northwest Division

If the Central Division is the strongest in the West than the Northwest Division is the division who paid for the Central’s success. With four teams making the playoffs from the Central in 2011-12 the Northwest and Pacific were left to battle for the second half of the spots. It is fair to say that the Northwest lost this fight as only one team would make the playoffs from the division.

2013 NHL Preview: The Atlantic Division

The Atlantic Division is the powerhouse of the NHL but not for their play on the ice as they are much better known for what they do off of the ice. The Atlantic Division is one of the biggest reasons that the NHL made $3.3 Billion last season. This division features some of the biggest franchises in the USA and teams that have some big followings.
