NHL Week in Review (April 12-18)

The focus in the NHL is centred around the playoffs and rightfully so as teams battle it out to get that much closer to the Stanley Cup.

NHL Week in Review (April 27-May 3)

The second round of the NHL playoffs are here with the 16 team pool cut down to only 8 remaining teams. The first round would be a thriller as a number of series would go down to the wire after a number of great game 7s. The Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens would be the two teams that would not make the competition close as Montreal would advance in 4 games while Boston would do it in 5.

NHL Week in Review (April 15-21)

The NHL playoffs took a turn last weekend as the usual intense skilled playoff hockey turned into an all out brawl. The playoffs are usually a very intense period in the calendar as every game becomes important. One loss in a bad way could mean the end of any momentum you had built up during the regular season. This makes every player a little more wound up than usual and that forces them to do things they may not do usually.

NHL Week in Review (April 8-14)

Nobody has ever said that the playoffs are predictable in any sport but when there is more than just one game in the playoffs things might settle down. There are always surprises but with a best of 7 series the better team will usually come out on top. The underdog can usually win one game and surprise everyone but when the second game comes along the better team has adjusted and is usually much tougher to beat.
