The playoff race is heating up in the NFL as the first team has been eliminated from the playoffs with only six weeks left in the season. As teams continue to march towards the playoffs or simply towards the offseason they are starting to prove exactly what type of team they have. Whether they are a team that simply doesn’t have what it takes to compete with the best teams. More than that though are the emergence of the superstars of 2014 as the halfway point is gone and the top players begin to prove that they are for real.

There is one week left in the NFL and one week left for teams to make their last stand for the playoffs. That last stand for the playoffs would become that much more important after week 16 of the season when almost nothing was solved. Week 16 would be a week full of drama and for many teams it was a week full of ups and downs as many team believed their hopes to continue playing were dashed only to be revived moments later.

The NFL playoff race is here and in full swing as teams fight for the six spots in the playoffs in either conference. Just as the race began one team has already almost finished their race as they have clinched a spot. The game between the New Orleans Saints and the Seattle Seahawks would determine the first team to clinch a spot. When the Seahawks came out on top of the game they would earn a playoff spot as they would guarantee at least a wild card spot for the team with the best record in the NFL.

There are six games left in the NFL season and that means the playoff race is heating up with few chances to get into the postseason. The races are on and teams are either trying to climb into the race or hold on to their lead. As the next six weeks advance there is sure to be plenty of surprises with some already showing their way. There are already plenty of surprises setting up for the playoff push. In the AFC the fight for the playoffs may just come down to the best worst team in the conference.

Week 14 is done and that means the NFL prepares for the final stretch of the playoff race with only three game left in the season. At this moment is where the true predictions of the Super Bowl begin to fill the NFL conversation. After a long season teams are beginning to see the future as they are either looking to 2013 or to a playoff spot.

Wednesday Morning QB (Week 12)

The year is one month closer to turning the calendar into 2013 and for the NFL that means the always intimidating month of December. December is the last full month of the season and for some teams it can mean the beginning of the end for their season. It is a month where teams need to put up or shut up as it marks the beginning of the playoff race.
