The NFC is the more historical of the conference but they haven’t had the most success in recent years with only one Super Bowl in the last four seasons but growing teams are looking to change that.

The Super Bowl is almost here and the teams have been decided after an interesting championship weekend. Both games had plenty of storylines with the top ranked teams in each conference getting the chance to move to the Super Bowl. In the AFC there was a massive underdog led by the best young quarterback in the league as he tried to take on and beat a legend for the second week in a row. The NFC featured a second place team in a matchup of the tow powerhouses of the conference.

In 2013 the NFL decided to change things up from their usual location decisions and went to an open stadium in a cold weather city. It is generally not the decision to make for the league as they prefer to take weather out of the equation in the biggest game of the year. The NFL does not want to see a game come down to a gust of wind or a match where one team that is more used to the cold gets and advantage at the start of February.

The NFL Playoffs are here and there will be 12 teams marching to unfamiliar territory this year as the AFC and NFC look towards New Jersey as the light at the end of the tunnel. The Super Bowl will be in a strange place this year as New Jersey and MetLife Stadium will be the hosts this year. It is the third time that the NFL will go to the Northern USA and it will mark the first time ever that the NFL will move to an outdoor stadium in the Northern USA.

There is one week left in the NFL and one week left for teams to make their last stand for the playoffs. That last stand for the playoffs would become that much more important after week 16 of the season when almost nothing was solved. Week 16 would be a week full of drama and for many teams it was a week full of ups and downs as many team believed their hopes to continue playing were dashed only to be revived moments later.

There are six games left in the NFL season and that means the playoff race is heating up with few chances to get into the postseason. The races are on and teams are either trying to climb into the race or hold on to their lead. As the next six weeks advance there is sure to be plenty of surprises with some already showing their way. There are already plenty of surprises setting up for the playoff push. In the AFC the fight for the playoffs may just come down to the best worst team in the conference.

The NFL is only three weeks away from beginning the playoffs and that means the playoff picture is becoming more solid. Teams are beginning to lock up their positions in the playoffs but there is still plenty of room for the last three weeks. The NFC is the conference with the most teams already guaranteed a playoff spot. Both the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers have clinched their divisions and a playoff spot.

Week 5 in the NFL started off on a very sad note as a legend in the NFL passed away on Saturday. The longtime owner of the Oakland Raiders, Al Davis, passed away Saturday before the games leaving a massive hole in the NFL. Al Davis changed the face of the NFL and will always be remembered for his contributions to the league. Al Davis was almost always involved in football from a young age in Brooklyn.
