The NCAA rankings are a tough thing to figure out but the rankers do it while teams continue to play in important games no matter what the stakes might be between ranked and unranked teams.

The NCAA season continues to get more unpredictable as the season moves on with four top 10 teams taking their first losses of the season this week throwing the rankings into a scramble only weeks before the CFP rankings come out.

The NCAA is another week in and there were more surprises as there always are in the NCAA from week to week. More teams would make their mark on the season while players would show what they were made of. Some players would move up the Heisman rankings while others would fall out of sight. With all of the action this week one game stood out as something special though as the Notre Dame and Michigan Game highlighted the day.

This week of games was a bit of good and a bit of bad and again saw a lot of boring games until the night. With Notre Dame and Stanford both going into the spotlight expected to lose in the night games the roles were reversed. The Irish beat their rivals the Michigan State Spartans who were ranked 10 spots ahead of them and the Cardinal beat the second best team in the nation in the USC Trojans.

The NCAA has been full of controversy in the past years with more than their fair share of scandals. The majority of these scandals deal with the many recruiting violations that have plagued the NCAA over the past few years. There is one team that has kept out of the spotlight for infractions have been the Penn State Nittany Lions. Under head coach Joe Paterno, who is the winningest coach in NCAA history and the longest tenured coach with 60 years at Penn State, the Lions have been clean.
