The first week in the NCAA Football season was a chance to make an impression but for some schools that impression isn’t necessary in the first week with soft starts to schedules a common occurrence.

The first week of the college football season is a week that can provide a lot of drama but there may be no more drama in the first week this year than what happened in Atlanta where two of the best opened their season with one leaving worse for wear.

Week 1 in the NCAA was better than it ever was before as more teams took a risk in scheduling tough teams which didn’t pay-off for everyone.

Week 1 in the NCAA season is typically one where the top teams get their chance to beat up on a Division-I FCS team. With no preseason teams generally take the first week as a chance to find a team that they can easily win against. That means that they can make a mistake in the game and not really pay too badly because the level of the other team is nowhere near as high. It is considered a warm up game for most and the NCAA teams used to take full advantage before they began their bigger schedules.

The NCAA season has officially kicked off with the first week of the season to a lot of excitement. It is the type of excitement that is only reserved for the beginning of seasons and the NCAA season fits the profile for many. Except the NCAA season also has one of the biggest let downs of any league both professional and amateur.
