MLB Week in Review (July 19-25)

The halfway point of the season has come and gone in the MLB season and for many teams that means they know where they are going to be at the end of the year. There are teams that have already lost their chance to make the postseason and others that are just waiting to clinch their divisions. There are also the many teams fighting to get enough wins to make the postseason right until the end of the season. That is where the Trade Deadline comes in as teams look to find that one piece to help them push over the top to make a run at the postseason.

MLB Week in Review (June 29-July 5)

The MLB is at the halfway point of the season as the All-Star Game approaches and so does a significant deadline. The MLB Trade Deadline might not be the flashy TV spectacle that a trade deadline is in many sports but it is still important. Of course a part of the lack of flash is the fact that there are deals after the deadline using the waiver wire to exchange players. Baseball is also very much a team sport where one player cannot make as big a difference as in other sports.

Rivalries in sport are the lifeblood of any league as they create the most passionate fans and the best games. Most leagues have these bitter rivalries that last for years and even decades and they can be formed for a number of reasons. In the MLB this is no different as rivalries drive the league and make for some of the best baseball every year.

MLB Week in Review (July 21-27)

As the MLB Season creeps into crunch time teams are put into certain spots in the psyche of the MLB world. Some teams become the basement dwellers who will have no hope of making the postseason. These teams begin to look to the future around this point in the season as they concentrate on prospects that they can bring up to get some experience in the majors.
