The holiday season is approaching and for the NHL and for hockey in general it means the beginning of their busiest time of year. The holiday season is the time that the NHL sees their big event season. The process of getting ready for an unprecedented 6 outdoor games has already started while the selection for the Olympic teams is right around the corner. There is another event that is taking focus for a small amount of the NHL players as the World Juniors begins on December 26th.
2013-14 NHL Preview: Atlantic Division (Part 1)

The newly revamped alignment of the NHL will have its affects in every one of the new divisions including the new Atlantic Division. The Atlantic Division will see a new host of teams from the Northeast join the division. In fact the entire Northeast division has joined the new Atlantic Division among a number of familiar faces. Then there are the new faces for many of these teams in the form of the Florida teams who will move from the southeast to the Atlantic.

2012 NHL Draft Preview

The NHL Draft signifies the beginning of the NHL offseason as teams begin to rebuild and look to the future of the game. The new generation is coming up as players from the minor leagues look to get in to the NHL and make an impact. Of course the draft is not the only way to do this as free agency is right around the corner for teams to add players.

World Junior Preview (Pool A)

The World Juniors is always considered a Canadian Tournament but last year in Buffalo they did not take home the prize. Instead the Russians took home the prize and are back this year to begin their own streak that the Canadians are known for. With a number of top prospects the Russians look to dominate Pool A and advance into the playoffs.
