The CFL has always been a QB-driven league and when Johnny Manziel came to Canada he was the biggest QB of them all with a massive name taking all of the headlines but Jeremiah Masoli has had other plans keeping the former Heisman winner on the bench so far.

The second week of the CIS season saw two more conferences officially begin their seasons with the RSEQ and CanWest teams getting started.

The CIS Season is officially over and the hardware has been handed out with not a whole lot changing. The season began with the Big Four and talk of the four repeat champions as questions arose as to who could continue their runs in their conferences. Changes would be seen but in the end the result was much the same as everyone had seen before. Two of the big four would last to the end of the season and both were the two teams that had much more than a three-peat at stake.

The Conference Finals would cap off a week where the CIS would celebrate the end of the football season. There are only a few weeks left in the official season but the conferences would end their seasons this week with their championships. There were some surprises and some expected results as four teams moved on to the national playoffs and one step closer to the Vanier Cup on November 23rd. As a part of the winding down of the season the nominees for the individual awards were announced.
