NCAA Football Report (Week 7)

It has been a strange few weeks in College football with teams continuing to change positions in the rankings. Last week was the beginning of everything when in one week the rankings took on a completely new look. It was the first time that four of the top five teams in the nation lost in the same week. That created plenty of opportunity for other teams to shift into the playoff picture while the top teams fell and were forced to create a comeback.

NCAA Football Report (Week 6)

It happens every year in College Football that one week of games turns the entire league on its head. Nobody knows when it is going to come but everyone knows that it is going to come at some point in time. That is what makes the NCAA so exciting when it comes down to it as every week people are watching to see what can happen. That has only become truer in this new era of College Football where every team seems to be getting closer and closer. It is becoming increasingly tougher for teams to remain undefeated in the season and a 1-loss champion is no longer unheard of.

2014 Heisman Trophy Preview

The Heisman Trophy is fast becoming the most unpredictable award in sports as three straight years have seen surprise winners. In 2011 the award was Andrew Luck’s to lose after finishing second the year before to Cam Newton. Then out of nowhere a quarterback from Baylor took the league by storm. Robert Griffin had an amazing 2011 season and put Baylor on the map after winning the school’s first ever Heisman. In 2012 it was all about Matt Barkley carrying on the legacy of Heisman winners at USC but a bad season had him fall off the map.
