The UFC would travel to Orlando for the first time ever and as is usual with a new city the UFC would put on a great card. The UFC on Fox 11 would see a number of contender fights that would go a long way to determining the next challengers for a number of different weight classes. It was an important time for a lot of fighters on the card and that included the two men in the main event. Travis Browne and Fabricio Werdum would face off for the #1 contender spot in the always competitive heavyweight division.

In Combat sports the heavyweight division has always been the division with the most glory as champions become sports legends. Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis, and numbers more where always considered the best fighters in the world. They are considered some of the most exciting fighters as all of them have the ability to achieve the one thing that makes fans cheer more than anything. The Knockout is the most exciting part of combat sports and although MMA is a mix of great techniques with great submissions being appreciated by many fans the KO is the one thing that no fan can avoid getting excited about.

The year in the UFC was set to end with a great card at UFC 168 as two titles were on the line in what promised to be a card to end the year right. More than that though these two title fights would be two of the most anticipated rematches of the year. Ronda Rousey would take on Meisha Tate in a rematch from Strikeforce with both fighters never really getting along. The most anticipated rematch though, was the rematch for the Middleweight title.

The UFC will be ending their year with a massive card and with it the reminders of an era gone by in 2013. The year began with what many would consider the most dominant group of champions ever assembled. A number of weight divisions would see their champions solidify their spot in 2012 and there did not seem to be much change coming.

Never before has a TUF Finale fight been so hyped than the finale of The Ultimate Fighter 17 and it was all because of one man. Uriah Hall is the best fight to come out of the reality show since it began as his time on the show put the middleweight division on notice. He would earn devastating KOs in every fight the type of KOs where you don’t really want to cheer.
