The National League East is a strange division in the MLB as the competition is nowhere near the level of other divisions and yet they produce strong teams every year.

The American League Central is a division that has been ruled by one team for years and that team has been the Detroit Tigers. The Tigers have been one of the most dominant teams in the MLB and have regularly been considered favourites to win the World Series. Thanks in large part to a great pitching staff the Tigers have ruled over the central for years. It is not all about the Tigers though as their time at the top has also been a lot about the lack of competition around them in their own division.

The Boston Red Sox are standing at the top of the MLB world once again as they would win their 8th World Series in franchise history. The Red Sox would complete a worst to first season after it seemed that they were on the decline as a franchise. The year before the Red Sox had fallen to the bottom of the East division after revelations of the actions in the locker room known as the Beer and Chickengate by some.

The World Series has always been a great series and in 2012 it was not different as another champion was crowned in the MLB. The series may not have been as good as last year or the year before that or basically most series.

The Postseason for the MLB is always a great and this year was no different with plenty of drama to follow. With comebacks and breakout players there have been great stories but many have also been followed by injuries and disappointment. Depending on your team you are elated at the results or dumbfounded. It is just another year in the MLB Postseason much like nay other and like any other year a trend has emerged.
