It has been a strange weight class in the last few years as the UFC has gone away from the usual recipe for combat sports.

The UFC would travel once again to Asia as it is clear that they are trying to grow the sport in a MMA crazy region. Asia was the home of Pride Fighting Championship and is still the home of many big fight promotions. The UFC is looking to become one of those promotions as they continue to try to grow their brand in the region. That is a big task for the UFC as they continue to try and make UFC the global brand for MMA and to do that they will need stars from all over the world.

The Fight Roster Grows Once Again (TUF 16 Finale Review)

The Ultimate Fight 16 would finish off this weekend when the two finalists form Team Carwin and Team Nelson would face off for a UFC contract. The Ultimate Fighter franchise continues to grow as international shows move on and the format continues to change. The franchise is not slowing down either as the next season of the show is already being filmed to begin in January.

TUF 16 Finale Preview

It is the 16th season of the show that changed the face of the UFC as a new fighter will enter the UFC after winning a contract. The Ultimate Fighter is everything to Dana White and to the UFC as it was the tipping point for rapid growth of the sport throughout the world. As the seasons have moved on the fighter roster has continued to grow and with the next season already underway it does not seem to be slowing down.

UFC 137 Preview

The artist who makes the fight posters was busy over the last few months and not only because there were a lot of fights. There was a stretch of 4 fights at the beginning of the month and there will be another stretch of 4 events starting with UFC 137. This was the least of the artist’s worries as the poster for UFC 137 took enough work with the fight changing three times.
