The team that can lay claim to the best fan base in the league will not lay claim to the best team in the CFL. The Saskatchewan Roughriders are the Grey Cup Champions as they would continue the trend of home teams winning the Grey Cup. The win would be one that came almost as expected as the offseason would see the Riders build to win. They would add a number of big name players in an attempt to try and win the Grey Cup at home.

The CFL is fast approaching the halfway point of the season and teams are starting to work out where they sit in the league. They are done their early season jitters and are looking towards the playoff race that is only a few weeks away. Some teams are hoping to sustain their play and carry it to the Grey Cup. Other teams are looking to take the last chance they have to turn things around before they get buried underneath the other teams.

The bye weeks are over for the CFL as all teams look to the last few months to try and get one of those coveted playoff spots. With the bye weeks finish every team is looking ahead and two teams would use the weeks to prepare ahead. In Week 6 the Montreal Alouettes would use their time off to decide on their coaching future.
