The AFC West is not full of the drama like the East but that doesn’t mean the teams are not still in trouble. The NFC West has come back from the basement while the AFC West continues to stay in the basement. This year the division is looking at a year where a lot of teams have torn everything down for another rebuild.

The NCAA Season is underway and once again one of the most exciting and debated leagues in football will continue on for another year. The NCAA is a league that seems to always be under fire as scandal seems to follow them at every turn. In many ways it is rightfully so as the NCAA is one of the strangest leagues in football as they rely on essentially free labour to make billions of dollars.

The NFL is a league that rewards the flashy players as the “skilled” players are the ones who touch the ball the most. These players, the quarterbacks, wide receivers, and running backs, will always get the headlines and the focus. Throughout the season the stats and the talk all surround these players while the other players like the lineman sit back and rarely get talked about.

Oscar Pistorius first entered the sports world before the 2008 Olympics when the sprinter who was born without fibulas and with two prosthetic legs would attempt to qualify for the Summer Olympics. After competing and dominating in the Paralympics Pistorius would try to become the first double amputee to run in the Olympics. He would not qualify for the 2008 Olympics but his inspirational story was just beginning.

The NCAA season is almost over with only one game left on the schedule to determine the best team in College Football. The NCAA season has been a wild one this year and has given rise to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Alabama Crimson Tide as the two top teams in the league. The season did not start out with both of these teams at the top of the rankings in fact neither began the season as the #1 team.

This is what the NCAA is all about as the National Championship is here and the matchup is a dream of all football fans. It is not the new and exciting offences or the new rising schools that will face off on January 7th but instead a call back to the old days. When I say old days I mean OLD days as two of the oldest NCAA programs face off for the biggest bowl game of the year.

The 2012 NCAA Football season officially came to an end with the 113th game between Army and Navy. A longstanding tradition this game takes most of the focus for the last week of the season as they are the only game in between championship week and bowl season. It is one of the most important games on the schedule for simply the historic significance and for both teams it usually means a chance for the Commander in Chief’s Trophy.

The NCAA season is all but over as many teams will not be playing another game while others will be moving to their championship games. The regular season is over and the dust is beginning to settle on the 2012 season. It was a classic season where little was predictable and the top spot seemed almost cursed. First it was Alabama who seemed unbeatable until Johnny Football came along and led the Texas A&M Aggies to a win over the Tide.

The NCAA never ceases to surprise as once again the week in football saw a massive shift in the BCS. Last week it was the loss of Alabama forcing the BCS rankings to take the Tide out of the top spot. With the loss the Crimson Tide would drop to fourth place behind the three remaining undefeated teams in the BCA rankings.

There is only one thing constant in the NCAA and that is that there will be upsets and that they cannot be predicted. It seemed this year that there was going to be one constant though as the Alabama Crimson Tide looked unbeatable. After losing one game in 2011 they still made the National Championship and won it all.
