The Court sports are another set of sports that sees teams of athletes compete together to win a gold medal. The one difference between these sports and the field sports is pretty simple these sports are played on courts instead of fields.

Cycling is a classic sport that goes back centuries with a events like the Tour de France a part of sport lore. It all started with the road cycling that was a simple test of endurance and speed on smooth roads while going up and down massive hills. The Combat Sports category in the Olympics is one where athletes get the closest to true battle between each other. It is a category that pits two athletes against each other in a test of skill and will as a real fight determines the winner.

It is a simple and traditional sport grouping that has some great history behind it with two of the sports being dominated by one region.

The Boating category in the Olympics is self explanatory as it involves any sport with a boat or ship and an athlete. The boating events are simply about the marriage of an athlete and their equipment. There are a number of different sports in this grouping some are about the short distance and pure power while others are about the stamina and wherewithal to perform over a long period of time.

The Olympics are one of the most unique displays of sports in the world as they are the host of things that people only get to see every four years.
