The American League West was supposed to be a pretty goo battle in 2017 but that battle never came to light and this year might be a lot of the same as the West remains a division ruled by one very good team.

The MLB is a slow league to change but the demand is growing for the league to change the way umpiring is done by establishing an automatic strike zone and taking the human element out of the game.

The American League Central is a division that has been ruled by one team for years and that team has been the Detroit Tigers. The Tigers have been one of the most dominant teams in the MLB and have regularly been considered favourites to win the World Series. Thanks in large part to a great pitching staff the Tigers have ruled over the central for years. It is not all about the Tigers though as their time at the top has also been a lot about the lack of competition around them in their own division.

The World Series has always been a great series and in 2012 it was not different as another champion was crowned in the MLB. The series may not have been as good as last year or the year before that or basically most series.

The Detroit Tigers made quick work of the New York Yankees before last week leaving on series to be figured out. The St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco Giants would fight it out at the beginning of the week to determine the opponents of the Tigers. The series seemed to be over pretty quickly almost as quick as the Yankees-Tigers series.
