The new Central Division is not the same as it once was with the top two teams taken away from the group. The Central Division had been built off of the rivalry between Detroit and Chicago but that is no longer there. The Chicago Blackhawks remain in the Central Division while the Detroit Red Wings move to the Eastern Conference.

NHL Week in Review (June 2-8)

The Chicago Blackhawks and the Pittsburgh Penguins would enter the NHL playoffs as the two biggest favorites that the playoffs have seen in a long time. It wasn’t always easy but both teams would make it to the final four of the playoffs and remain the biggest favorites. After all both teams had some of the most stacked rosters in terms of talent.
