Canadian sports have been nailed down to one season and one sport and has been this way for years. The Canadians have never been considered a summer sport nation and have seen hockey as the true Canadian sport. This has been the case for decades with Canadians taking ownership of hockey and winter sports as their own and using it as a sense of pride.

The team that can lay claim to the best fan base in the league will not lay claim to the best team in the CFL. The Saskatchewan Roughriders are the Grey Cup Champions as they would continue the trend of home teams winning the Grey Cup. The win would be one that came almost as expected as the offseason would see the Riders build to win. They would add a number of big name players in an attempt to try and win the Grey Cup at home.

The CFL Season is over and the second season is set to begin as the march to the 101st Grey Cup begins. As the Grey Cup approaches the 6 teams involved are hoping that they can be named the next champions. For one team a recent pattern is a good omen as the Saskatchewan Roughriders are hoping to be the third team in a row to win the Grey Cup at home.

The CFL season is finished and the road to the Grey Cup has begun as once again the last week of the CFL season has come and gone. It was not an extremely interesting last week of the season with every team clinching their spots. For some teams it was time to get that last adjustment in without risk of losing any ground. Other teams it was a chance to see what they have going into the offseason as the last game of the year would act almost as a last second tryout.

The CFL season is only one week away from the playoffs and the games have already been decided. The Toronto Argonauts and Calgary Stampeders have clinched their divisions while the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Edmonton Eskimos have been officially eliminated from the playoffs. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Saskatchewan Roughriders will host the semi-finals with the Montreal Alouettes and BC Lions going on the road.

The CFL week would start with plenty of anticipation as the fans can feel the playoffs in the air with the Grey Cup only a few weeks away. As the air gets colder and the snow begins to fall in place the teams in the CFL begin to prepare for the climb to the Grey Cup. For the Alouettes and their fans though this anticipation would turn into a bit of fear for the future.

The CFL playoff race continues on with only a few weeks left in the season and many of the playoff spots already taken. There is only one spot left in the CFL while the playoff hopes for the one of the teams continue to dwindle. The Eastern Division is the only division that still has a playoff spot available as the Montreal Alouettes and Winnipeg Blue Bombers fight for the last spot and the Als only one win away from clinching. As the playoff picture becomes clearer the talk begins to shift to which team can win the 101st Grey Cup.
