The playoff race in the NFL is underway but one team has nothing left to play for after consistently making poor decisions under center.

Much like the AFC East the NFC east is one of the stranger divisions in the NFL but unlike in the AFC the East in the NFC is a much more formidable division. The NFC East is a division that produces a little bit more of a punch than their counterparts in the AFC and there is a different level of competition to win the division. In the AFC East the Patriots are the rulers but in the NFC it is almost a toss-up every year to find out who will win. The last few years have created a real divide in the division with the development of two very distinct types of teams.

The Dallas Cowboys would see something on the sidelines that not many teams are happy to see on the sidelines. After a rough game where the Detroit Lions would come back and score a last second TD that nobody saw coming. It was the latest in a number of last second collapses by the Cowboys and the frustration levels continue to rise. After the Detroit TD the frustration would come out on the Dallas sidelines as wide receiver Dez Bryant would go off on veteran tight end Jason Witten.

Another season is done and the Baltimore Ravens are sitting at the top of the heap as Super Bowl Champions. Their journey was a strange one with the season starting well and ending terribly and then taking another turn in the playoffs until they would end as champions. It would be a strange year for the Ravens but it would be the perfect season to represent the larger 2012 NFL season.
