The NFC East has been a bit of an unstable division with teams dealing with so many issues but last year they produced a champion showing that title scan come out of the East, but will it happen again?

The NFC South could turn out to be one of the most competitive divisions in the league this year with so many great teams all potentially competing for the top spot.

In the world of sports, forgiveness is a funny thing as athletes can easily get second or third chances as long as they are good enough to earn those chances.

Much like the AFC East the NFC east is one of the stranger divisions in the NFL but unlike in the AFC the East in the NFC is a much more formidable division. The NFC East is a division that produces a little bit more of a punch than their counterparts in the AFC and there is a different level of competition to win the division. In the AFC East the Patriots are the rulers but in the NFC it is almost a toss-up every year to find out who will win. The last few years have created a real divide in the division with the development of two very distinct types of teams.

The NFC East has been a weaker division in the last few years but changes are coming and superstars are rising to make this a division to watch. With Robert Griffin III entering the division last year everyone was watching. RGIII would electrify the league and lead the Redskins to the division title with his arm and his legs.

This year the playoffs took an eerily similar turn as it begins to look a lot like the 2008 playoffs. In 2008 the New England Patriots were on their way to becoming the best team in NFL history behind the arm of Tom Brady and the brains of Bill Belichick.

Much like last week the NFL saw a chase for the record books but this time it was the chase of individual Records. Mainly it was one of the longest standing records in the NFL for QBs. In 1984 Dan Marino had one of the best careers by a QB as he threw for 5,084 yards in one season. This year this season was looked to be matched by not one but three QBs as Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, and Drew Brees were all on pace to break this single season record.

The NFL is only three weeks away from beginning the playoffs and that means the playoff picture is becoming more solid. Teams are beginning to lock up their positions in the playoffs but there is still plenty of room for the last three weeks. The NFC is the conference with the most teams already guaranteed a playoff spot. Both the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers have clinched their divisions and a playoff spot.
