NHL Week in Review (October 13-19)

The NHL has dealt with the concussion issue for the better part of the last few years with head injuries taking the focus for a number of seasons. With the concern over head injuries the NHL has made some major changes in the league. They have tried to adjust the league from a hard hitting grinding league to an offensive skill league. This of course has other motivations with TV money and entertainment a major factor in the decision to change rules to open up the offence.

2012 NHL Draft Preview

The NHL Draft signifies the beginning of the NHL offseason as teams begin to rebuild and look to the future of the game. The new generation is coming up as players from the minor leagues look to get in to the NHL and make an impact. Of course the draft is not the only way to do this as free agency is right around the corner for teams to add players.
