The MLB Trade Deadline is still over a month away but this week the first trade involving a big name took focus as the trade season officially began.
The MLB is like any other league as they are constantly seeking stars but when the stars begin to falter things can get ugly really quickly, which is seen in New York where Matt Harvey has gone from hero to potentially done.

The American League West was supposed to be a pretty goo battle in 2017 but that battle never came to light and this year might be a lot of the same as the West remains a division ruled by one very good team.

This week was a strange one in the MLB as two players called it quits but both did so reluctantly as Alex Rodriguez and Prince Fielder had their careers ended rather than choosing to leave.

The MLB is revving up for the playoffs race as teams get ready to fight for their chance to play in the postseason. There are plenty of teams that will likely not make it but for the few that have a chance, these next weeks are more important than ever. Teams need to muster everything they can get to try and earn wins and climb into a playoff spot.
