When trying to match the excitement from a legendary fight it can be a lot of pressure on the fighters. That is what Dan Henderson and Mauricio Rua were looking to do at UFC Fight Night 38 when they would square off in a rematch of a classic. At UFC 139 Henderson and Rua would put on a slugfest that is now considered one of the best fights in MMA history. After a few years both fighters would get the chance to redo the fight and bring about another classic.

Brazil’s Big Night (UFC 147 Review)

One of the busiest weeks in UFC history concluded on Saturday as the double header of fights finished with UFC 147. It started with UFC on FX 4 on Friday as the UFC would host their first ever back-to-back fights in their history. UFC on FX 4 saw a number of great fights on the card but the main event disappointed.

Rematches have become a part of the UFC plan in this stretch of fights with the trilogy of Stout-Fisher and rematch of Silva-Sonnen. In between these two fights will be another rematch as the Light Heavyweight division sees Rich Franklin and Wanderlei Silva rehash their longtime rivalry.
