There has been a backlog in the UFC for the last year as top talent in big divisions continue to win and go nowhere for their efforts. No matter how impressive their win or how many wins they put together they have been unable to find their way to the title. It has been one of the most frustrating periods for fans and for the UFC in general as fight after fight goes by with less and less titles on the line. For everyone watching and everyone involved in the UFC it is a challenge as they love to put on and watch championship fights. The issue has been the fact that champions have been out of commission for the majority of 2014.

The UFC has had some issues when it comes to a number of weight classes in keeping their title holders fighting. For the last year it has been rare to see many of the titles up for grabs with true title holders in fights. Whether it is injuries or simply that fact that people who win the title tend to take some time off to fix issues. It is a practice that does not make the UFC President very happy but one that is understood. Fighters take a lot of punishment and don’t have a lot of time to take off when they are in pursuit of a title.

One of the best battles in the history of the Heavyweight Division in the UFC would go into its trilogy at Houston. The UFC is made up of great trilogies as it is one of the biggest parts of the fighting world. Trilogies are the be all and end all of rivalries in fighting as that third fight, more often than not, determines who the better fighter is. It is generally between two fighters that are at the top of their game or are fan favorites who people want to see fight.

Mixed Martial Arts is one of the best sports in the world for the simple fact that it brings so much into one sports. It is Boxing, Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, Judo, Karate, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, and so much more into one octagon where the best of the best must learn to harness everything to win. The sport is great because there is not only the art and the ferocity of boxing but also the art and pain of the ground game.

The UFC is the premier MMA organization in the world as it has the best fighters in the world and the biggest fights in the world. They have constantly remained the best by recruiting the top talent throughout the world. Another strategy the UFC uses to continue to remain on top of the MMA world is to take out their competition.
