The Conference Finals are set and both series are looking eerily similar to each other with a massive underdog against a dominant former champion with a few interesting potential Finals that could be in the near future.

The NHL has made it through their strange season this year in a year that started with a lockout and finished with a 48 game season. The Playoffs are now here though and the regular season is behind the teams as the march to the Stanley Cup begins. The strange part of the year won’t stop at the regular season though as teams fight to be the champion of a shortened season.

The most exciting time n the NHL calendar is here as the playoffs are about to start with 16 teams all looking to be the new champions. This year in the NHL some teams came out swinging and never stopped as they remained on top of the rankings all year. Then there were the teams that seemed to be out of it at the beginning of the year but came back to earn their chance at the Stanley Cup.

In October every NHL team had hopes of making the playoffs and as the months wore on that number seemed to lessen. Now the NHL season is over leaving 16 teams to continue their dreams in the playoffs while 14 teams go home with nothing. The playoffs did not come down to the last day but close to it with Thursday seeing the end of the hopes for many teams.
