The Road to Vanier 2011

The Vanier cup will make an interesting trip this year as it will begin to tour along with the Grey Cup. The first stop in this new deal will be in Vancouver the day before the Grey Cup in the newly renovated B.C. Place. It will be the 47th time the trophy is handed out. Last year the game was played in Quebec City at PEPS Stadium on the campus of Laval University. It became a big advantage for one team as the Laval Rouge et Or faced off against the Calgary Dinos.

RSEQ Wants a Repeat (RSEQ Preview)

Quebec has been a hotbed for football in Canada for many years and a big part of this is the success of not only the Montreal Alouettes in the CFL but also the Laval Rouge et Or. Laval has been on a tear over the past few years as they are always a favorite to win the Vanier Cup. Last year they did just that utilizing their home field advantage to beat the Calgary Dinos in the final. This year the big red machine will look to take their show out west to Vancouver and play for the Vanier Cup once again.
