The first few games of the playoffs allowed for an insight into the differences between youth and veterans on teams as the young teams stumbled out of the block but aren’t entirely out of it as the first round continues.

With the end of the second round came the end to four team’s Stanley Cup hopes including the Washington Capitals as Alexander Ovechkin finished another year without a cup.

The Los Angeles Kings had high hopes at the beginning of the season after management spent over $100,000 on improving the team. Unfortunately for them when the season began they were nowhere near where they were hoping to be.
