The MLB season is officially underway and in only one week the biggest news is the attempted sale of the Miami Marlins by an owner that never really endeared himself to any city he was a part of and ever team he owned.

2014 MLB Preview: NL Central

The MLB is becoming more and more even every year that passes as more teams continue to put their hat in the ring. The NL Central was a perfect expression of this in 2013 when they had one of the best division battles in the MLB. Out of the five teams in the division there were three that continued to fight for the division until the final days of the season. In the past this was always limited to the top two teams as the rest of the teams were put to the bottom to fight it out for third place. It was like that for years until the Pittsburgh Pirates threw their names into the title race.

Another year under the new system and another thrilling result as the two-wild card system once again came down to the end of the year. MLB Week in Review (September 7-13)

The MLB postseason race is in full swing with many teams looking towards the playoffs and many more looking to next year. These teams are not the fun teams to watch though as the fun part of the race are the teams that are fighting for their spot. The teams that need to win or will find themselves out of the postseason are the teams that everyone is watching with only a few weeks left to earn their spot. There are only a handful of battles left in the MLB as the season winds down and the games get fewer and fewer with teams falling under the Out of the Running status.

MLB Week in Review (August 24-30)

September is almost here and that means the last month of the MLB season as teams race to the postseason. The last month of the season has been a thrilling one in the past as there are only few games left for someone to make a run at the postseason. In 2011 September would get one of its best races in recent memory. Going into the last month of the season the Boston Red Sox would look to be in complete control of the AL wild card.

MLB Week in Review (April 13-19)

The beginning of the week in the MLB was supposed to be a celebration of one of the greatest and most influential baseball players in MLB history. April 15th would mark Jackie Robinson Day in the MLB where every team and every player would wear the now league-wide retired #42. It was supposed to be a day of celebration for the man who broke the colour barrier in the American past time.
